“Unbound was written at a time when it seemed like a
thousand different voices erupted around the world, all
arguing with each other, all the time. The song turns the
Greek myth of Prometheus on its head, sharing the
perspective of a man desperate to obtain freedom and
enlightenment by imprisoning himself: voluntarily chaining
himself to the rock and embracing death, to escape the
unbearable cacophony of humanity around him.”
